Does this forum software have a feature for reporting spam posts? There's been a small rash of them lately, and it'd be nice to get them cleaned out.
-
I've done a little research, and apparently there is a "report to moderator" feature. This would be a convenient way to deal with the recent signature-spammers.
-
Dafydd says that there is a "Report to Moderator" link at the bottom of each post, but I'm darned if I can find it!
-
I can't find it either (!) but Dafydd is working on it. In the meantime I've deleted most if not all of the postings I consider to be spam. In general, I would ask new members to make their interest in a particular Barrie-orientated topic apparent. Simply writing "Hi there I'm new here" or "I agree" might result in the user being blocked -- my apologies if this has already happened to any bona fide member.

Its definitely working now :)

I see it and I'll be glad to use it (when the occasion arises!) I hate seeing a nice forum like this one taken over by idiots!
-
Thanks to all those who are reporting spam, allowing us to delete it asap!
-
I must say that things are looking a LOT better now. No more post about young ladies who are interested in performing uh interesting acts!
-
I've upped the security with new registrants in the hope to deter single posts. Hopefully this will also help a little.
