Hey Everyone!

I have a permissions question (everyone's favorite, I know).

Two friends of mine and I are getting our Masters in Theatre Arts, and for our thesis project next year, we're hoping to perform an original work, being written by a member of our team, that is a prequel inspired by Peter Pan, the novel.

I know that the book is in the PD in the US, but that the play written by Barrie is not. Initially I thought, "Great, then there are no restrictions!" But then I read a response that GOSH posted on another query regarding all stage productions that confused me a little and made me think that perhaps a stage adaptation of the novel would still require that we get permission from them.
