The Barrie Collection at the Beinecke Library at Yale

I know that years ago they had all their BARRIE stuff out in a huge Barrie exhibit.  Anyone know if there are plans to do something similar in the near future?  They have the only surviving copy of THE BOY CASTAWAYS as well as Barrie's little notebooks that he constantly wrote in (I know because I have handled and looked at those notebooks myself--his handwriting was atrocious!). They also have locks of the boy's hair that Sylvia kept and many other wonderful items.  I missed the last time they were on exhibit --hoping they do it again in the near future. Yale is about a three hour drive for me, but it would be worth it.

I've haven't heard of any plans to put up another Barrie exhibition at the Beinecke - or anywhere else - which is a great shame, especially as the Library recently acquired the Davies family photo album, put together by Margaret Ruthven, Peter Lewellyn Davies's wife. A visitor to the Beinecke Library can see the collection by prior appointment, so it might be worth the 3-hour drive - then you would be able not only to see THE BOY CASTAWAYS and other archives, but also hold them in your hand!
