I believe that house was used for the film THE LOST BOYS. It is the house where Sylvia dies (in the film, not sure if she died there in reality). As Michael and his brothers are walking back from a fishing expedition down at the river, Michael sees Barrie outside the house. Sensing something is wrong, Michael says "Mother" and begins to run towards the house. He then stops and looks at Barrie and then falls into his arms, yelling "Wake me up! Please, wake me up!" One of the most powerful scenes in the film --and it looks like they went for authenticity because I swear that house in the newspaper article linked above is the same house the scene was shot in front of .
Course, I could be wrong.
