Mr. Barrie's dedication
« on: October 10, 2009, 03:30:32 PM »
I read once again this morning Mr. Barrie's dedication "to the five".  It never ceases to amaze me the amount of emotion he pours into that dedication.  I think those days with the boys when they were very young must have been the happiest of his entire life.  All of us remember days of childhood when we played from dawn until dusk, (I myself have eleven brothers and sisters so I have experienced it), the endless hours of fun and not even knowing that there was a big bad world out there that we would someday have to face in adulthood.  Mr. Barrie in a sense had two childhoods, his own, and the childhood of those wonderful children by having the ability to see through their eyes and feel their excitement.  What an awfully big adventure it must have been!
