Hi I'm new to this site and not sure how often people post
anywhoo I'm researching my family history and there is possibility I'm connected to jm barrie would there be anyone on the site that could help or be willing to discuss this with me

Unless anyone has prior knowledge, or a Barrie family tree which shows your surname on it, I don't see how they could help you. Would you care to set out the manner in which you think you may be related, please? Incidentally, I've been told that there is a man living in Kirriemuir who claims to be related to Barrie, so he may be your best bet; you would need to make an enquiry initially through Sandra Affleck of the Kirriemuir Heritage Trust - they have a website with contact information.
