Pet Cemetery

Some people were asking a while back about the Pet Cemetery, mentioned by JM Barrie in The Little White Bird. It's located in what is now the garden of Victoria Lodge, at the entrance of Hyde Park. You can just see some of the graves through the railings on Bayswater Road. I've recently discovered it can be visited by prior arrangement with the Hyde Park Rangers, by phoning 020 7298 2000 (ask for the Hyde Park Rangers regarding the Pet Cemetery). You need to give them a few days' notice and they may ask for a (small) fee.

It's very atmospheric and charming, if a little neglected (which somehow adds to its quaintness). I'll send Andrew some of the pictures I took if anyone is interested.
