Peter Davies as Publisher

Does anyone have information about Peter Davies' activities as a publisher? Is there an archive for the publishing house that he ran?  I'm writing an introduction to The Fairies Return, published in 1934, and I hoping to find out how Davies recruited authors and chose fairy tales to rewrite.  Thanks for any help you can offer.  You can reach me directly at tatar@fas.harvard.edu
