Barrie's THE NEW WORD and THE OLD LADY SHOWS HER MEDALS
« on: September 20, 2010, 01:29:40 AM »
REP STAGE, a professional union theatre in Columbia MD, is presenting TWO BY J. M. BARRIE: THE NEW WORD and THE OLD LADY SHOWS HER MEDALS.  If you want to be swept away by some beautiful writing - read these! The performances at REP STAGE run 10-6-10 thru 10-24-10.  www.repstage.org  PS - Love the website and I carry Mr. Birkin's J.M BARRIE & THE LOST BOYS to each and every rehearsal!

If anyone has any information on either of these plays - history behind them, etc., please post!

"The New Word" is just about my favourite of Barrie's short plays, and in my view spreaks volumes about his complicated relationship with George (beautifully expressed by Peter in his "Morgue") - any chance you might video it and cast the results up on YouTube??! At any rate, the very best of luck...
