For those interested in the extended family of J.M. here's a wee bit of info about his family who are casualties listed on the War Memorial in Kirrie. None unfortunately have a grave site and sre remembered on memorials to the missing.
Two Nephews.

Last week we reported the death in action of Lieut. W.C.O. Barrie, Black Watch, younger son of Mrs Barrie, Strathview, Kirriemuir, and now there has come notification that his elder brother, Corporal Charles D.O. Barrie, London Scottish, who was reported missing on 1st July, had also been killed in action. Lieut. Barrie was a teacher, and his brother a journalist, and both were nephews of Sir James Barrie, the novelist. .
