Does anyone know how I could read a copy of the play version of The Little Minister?  Ideally, I would like to purchase a copy.
Thank you.

There are plenty of 2nd hand copies of The Little Minister for sale.  Visit www.abebooks.co.uk and search for it there.  Good luck!

Dear Robert,
Thank you so much for your reply.
Actually, the script used in the play is almost impossible to find.  I say almost, because I have not yet been able to find it anywhere.  The novel is available quite readily.  The play's the thing! I tried ABE books a week ago, and just now.....nada.  So, now that I am alerting the world to my plight, I am hoping to coerce international sympathy and find that script!  Wish me luck!

The easiest way is to buy "The Plays of J M Barrie" from abebooks.com - "The Little Minister" is among them.

Thank you, Andrew!  When I inquired at ABE, whomever responded was misinformed, I guess.  I was told "The Little Minister" was not among the works compiled...could have been an oversight, or, could be that the person was looking at a collection that did not include "The Little Minister."  But, thanks to you, I found it, and I am very grateful.

The Little Minister is indeed not among the works compiled in the First Edition (November 1928) of The Plays of J M Barrie - I have the December 1928 Reprint - and so perhaps you or Andrew would kindly enlighten me, please, as to which edition it first became included?

I apologise if I was unhelpful with my initial response, Elisabeth, but at the time I did believe that 'The Plays of J M Barrie' would not be of use in your particular search. My Barrie collection is quite limited and I was not aware that this publication had been revised at a later date.

"The Plays of J M Barrie, in One Volume" edited by A E Wilson, revised Feb 1942, reprinted Oct 1943, Dec 1945, June 1947 and Dec 1948... it is this last edition that I have, and it includes The Little Minister, as well as other plays omitted from the First Edition Robert has (and all subsequent reprints, 1929-1939) including The Professor's Love Sotry, The Wedding Guest and The Boy David. Hope this helps.

Dear Andrew and Robert,
Fortune smiles brighter!  The source I located required the purchase of several volumes of plays, in order to see the one of interest....but now Andrew reveals that, in fact, I may be able to get this done in one volume!  I would love to own the total, complete. ultimate collection...but my purpose now is a practical one. I am not a collector, as such.  So, thank you, both, once again.

I am in possession of a hand-written note, dated 'Christmas 1894', addressed to 'Jeanna', from 'The Little Minister'.
All very sincere, by the looks of it.  Found in an old Robert Burns book, dated 1864 or 1870.

Can anyone throw any light as to who 'Jeanna' may be?

I suspect the letter may be from an actor to his female friend but could it be from JMB...?

Dear Andrew,
Although a lot of time has passed since I last communicated, I am still interested in the purchase of the volume containing the Little Minister.  Would you tell me how to acquire one?
                                                                                                          Thank you.

"The Complete Works of J.M. Barrie" is now available on Amazon for Kindle. It contains both the novel and the play of "The Little Minister".
