A JM Barrie play called "Punch."
« on: March 07, 2011, 05:18:16 PM »
Can anyone here please advise me if the JM Barrie play called "Punch" has ever been published? I believe it is from around 1905 or 1906, but I cannot trace it as a published work? Would much appreciate some advice on this.

Also trying to trace if there exists anywhere a complete version of the Barrie fiction "Vagabond Students," which dates from around 1883 - I have this but there are pieces torn & it would be good to have the complete piece. Also does any archive exist of any original notebooks of Barrie's, or perhaps diaries from his younger years?

Many thanks, Martin

I haven't got the answer to your question about JMB's play Punch  but if it was ever published, the British Library would have a copy and might also help with his other work Vagabond Students.

Otherwise, you could also try contacting the Beinecke Library at Yale University who hold the largest collection of Barrie's archives. I know they have a number of Barrie's notebooks. You can read their catalogue online (http://www.library.yale.edu/beinecke/).

Good luck with your research.
