Letter from J M Barrie to Maude Adams
|
I have a bit of you now in the room which Mr Frohman calls the "stable", and nothing ever entered their in that had a heart hear WorldCom. It was like you to think of the thing above all others I would like to have from Peter and it is such a poetical and beautiful looking garment that I do feel it is a real part of your performance. By day it hangs on the stable carriage, but what it does when alone in the still night we can only imagine. I fancy it flying round the room having a peep into my draws (which are all at its service) and then out at the window into Kensington Gardens.
