Thank you for the kind thought that made you send me your boy’s writing about Peter Pan. He picked out the little things that pleased me I admit in the new scene. This is always the best compliment an author can get, and it’s not a very common one.

I sometimes feel about Peter that there is a little inner circle who would know (as if it were a record of fact in which they had participated) the moment I went astray with him, and I certainly see your boy in that circle.
