to Maude Adams - 1927

Description

It is so long since I have heard from you ... I am alone in the flat mostly now as the boys are all grown up and have made homes of their own, two of the three still alive being married. However I see a great deal of them and of the children of the oldest. I often wonder if you will come here any more and I wish beyond most things to see you again. If I ever cross the Atlantic again, it would be to see you. My interest in my plays is now so mild that I hardly know when or where they are being played
