Description

The time you speak of between the 25th and the end of July sounds like a most excellent time for me, so I hope you will come then. I shall be very delighted if you do and very sorrowful if you don't. About the going to France. I hear Hardy has been invited for the 8th July when I am going also, and I can't help hoping that he will make up his mind to come.... Long after the war is over (I don't doubt this) England will know that the biggest Englishman in it was Hardy, and I think it would be of some historic interest that he had been there. A car is put at our disposal and we go quite quietly where we choose. I should like to go to Ypres, as one of my boys is buried there.
