My Christmas and New Year might have been as quiet as yours as my rheumatics still have me in their hold though I am really a bit better. Last night my nurse and the canary and I celebrated alone at the window, and today the nurse who has been with me many weeks succumbed to this influenza and has had to go, so now there are only self and canary when night falls, and the canary is the merriest.
