Letters to Andrew Birkin, Part 2 (January-April 1976)
Letters sent to me from various people (other than Nico) while researching/writing my BBC-TV trilogy, "The Lost Boys" - at that point provisionally titled "The Boy Castaways".
Many of the letters contain primary source reminiscences, some used by me in either the trilogy or my biography, others not, mostly because there wasn't time to re-read them all in the three months Constables gave me in which to write the book, hence there's more than a nugget or two lurking here and there.
If any future writer wishes to trawl through these letters, they are more than welcome to quote, but I would ask them to be so good as to cite the writer and this website as their source.
