First edition?

Hello! I'm new to the board with a question that's been bugging me.  I know the first edition of Peter and Wendy was published by Hodder and Stoughton in 1911, in October I believe.  Well I've been searching for a first edition, first printing of the book.  

My question is, how do you know if it is the first printing?  What do you look for?  I know there were a couple printings in October, so the month is not helping in my search.  Can anyone help me out?  Thanks!!
