This is a piece I wrote for a TV series called Great Ideas of the20th Century back in 1993. I uploaded it years ago, but for some reason only a few minutes ever made it to YouTube, so here's the whole 15-minute thing for what it's worth. I wrote the blah blah, but it had to fit the programmer's idea of using the somewhat cheesy metaphor of doors in a labyrinth, hence a lot of pre-CGI model tracking shots.
