I had the impression that Mary would not be talking to other nannies. She would be on her own. She wouldn't commune all that much to nannies. She'd have a friend here and a friend there. She wouldn't be mixing with other nannies much. She'd go in her own particular way. Did she have a family she visited? Any relations? Yes. Mary's own family. I used to go up and stay with her mother. I had a great affection for all of them. Including her wonderful brother Tom with his button boots. Tell them the wonderful story of you learning all the wonderful songs up at Morecombe. Oh dear yes a marvelous moment.....
